My Brain Is Fried

I think I have been officially broken in to this blogging thing. I can't describe how low I feel right now, due to some naivete on my part. I almost quit blogging for the second time, but I enjoy it so much I have decided to just erase my original blog site and start over. Nothing happened on my site, it's just that I didn't want to keep the name of it because it would only remind me too much of the person who inspired it's name.

I feel much better about this. I am really looking forward to just being myself and relaxing while I blog. Maybe I'll just use this site as a journal of sorts.

Well, I've got to get busy reading and studying. Right now I'm reading: Evidence for Christianity (McDowell), Sex Has A Price Tag (Stenzel), Sexy Girls (DiMarco), Why Christian Kids Rebel (Kimmel), QUESTIONS YOU can't ask your Mama About Sex (Gross & Foster), Wait For Me (St. James), Boundaries With Teens (Townsend), and More Ready Than You Realize (McLaren). Just for fun I'm reading Piercing The Darkness and re-reading Monster, both by Frank Peretti.

Good to see you restarting. I kept going over to your old blog and didn't see anything new for so long... I thought something was up. And then it disappeared altogether! Now, I see why.

Just wanted you to know that I'll be visiting. I don't comment as much as I used to. Too many people get upset with me. But, I'll be sure to say 'hi' once in a while!

Blessings!

DC, I miss you too! Hey, I love this blog thing so much. Come and join the discussion more often. It's a good way to stay in touch and also to interact again. I'm going to be posting more frequently, I think. I have decided to make this like a journal of sorts. So, if you want to know what's happening with me, just come here. Love you man!

Oh, yeah, I forgot to tell you that Kathy and I already read House. It was great and will make one stinkin scary movie in 2007. Peretti wrote the first 9 chapters and Dekker finished it out. According to their interviews, they'll never write together again. They laugh about it now, but Peretti says it was painful.

Honestly, we were slightly dissappointed in the ending. There was no "final twist" like the quote from Ralph Winter promised on the cover. I do enjoy Peretti's writing style better than Dekker's. Dekker focuses too much on the thoughts of characters and tends to be repetitive. Peretti's dialogues are fantastic. He makes you guess more about the mind of the character instead of telling you everything. He gives you hints by what they say, but leaves mystery.

My favorite Peretti books are Monster and The Oath. My favorite Dekker books are Thr3e and Blink.
